Intuit has announced changes to their QuickBooks product offering. As of July 31, 2024, Intuit will no longer sell new subscriptions of the following:
QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus
QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus
QuickBooks Desktop Mac Plus
QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll
Existing Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Enhanced Payroll subscribers can continue to renew their subscription after July 31, 2024. In order do to this, you must have an active subscription before that time.
What does this mean for you?
If you are currently using QuickBooks Desktop without a subscription, we recommend you purchase a subscription before July 31, 2024.
If you use a version of QuickBooks older than 2021 and do not use the enhanced features (payroll, bank feeds, payments, live desktop support, product and security updates), you can continue to use the product you have.
You also have the option to move to QuickBooks online. It is quite a bit different and might not be for everyone. QuickBooks Online is not your only option, but Intuit will strongly encourage you to move to this option.
Intuit plans on contacting their customers that will be affected by these changes starting in February. You do not need to work with an Intuit representative. We can assist you through the process and make recommendations on which QuickBooks product would work best for you.
If you have questions regarding your QuickBooks version or subscription, please reach out to us at 641-423-0574. Linsey Current or Shannon Lerdal can help guide you through the process.
