Job Description:
We are assisting our client with a search for an experienced cost accountant. Our client is a large manufacturer of agricultural equipment located in Eastern Iowa. This is a senior management level position which will be reporting directly to the company’s owner. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing all aspects of the company’s cost accounting system
Monitoring and assessing fixed and variable costs by cost center
Working with the engineering department to develop and monitor standard costs
Being a key member of the team that makes pricing decisions
Working with sales and engineering to set goals and monitor the company’s financial performance and communicate with those departments the actual results
Working closely with the Director of Operations to manage the company’s performance
Candidates must have at least 3 to 4 years of specific cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or as a public accountant serving manufacturing clients. CPA and/or CMA designation is preferred but not required.
