Our Staff

Kristy joined our Mason City office in 2024 and is a Staff Accountant.  Kristy works closely with payroll service, payroll tax reporting, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping services.  Kristy attended North Iowa Community College, and enjoys volunteering at the Franklin County Fair and her church. 

Megan joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2022 and serves as an Administrative Services Professional in the Mason City office. She supports our firm with many administrative functions and is responsible for providing excellent service to our clients. Megan graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.S.  and has her substitute teacher license. 

She is Married to Ken, and Mom to 4 children ages 28, 22, 20, and 13--two boys and 2 girls. Megan and her family have 2 cats that they enjoy having in the house.  When not working, Megan enjoys lettering, mostly modern calligraphy and making cards. Her favorite past-time involves family vacations heading west to the mountains. 

Megan gives back to her community by volunteering for school activities and she is was on the Band Board from 2019-2021.

Jeremia joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2019 and is a Senior Accountant. He is responsible for individual, partnership and corporate tax return preparation. In addition, he also plans and conducts audit, review and compilation engagements for local governments, nonprofit organizations and commercial entities.

Jeremia graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.S. degree in Accounting. In his free time he enjoys fishing and golf. He is also a Minnesota sports fan.

Veronica joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2016 and serves as a Senior Accountant for the Mason City office. Her responsibilities also include payroll services, payroll tax reporting, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping services for a variety of clients.

Veronica received an Associate’s degree in Business from North Iowa Area Community College and a B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. 

Liesbeth joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2021 and is a Senior Accountant.  She is responsible for individual, partnership and corporate tax return preparation.  In addition, she also plans and conducts audit, review and compilation engagements for local governments, nonprofit organizations and commercial entities.

Liesbeth graduated from Northwestern College with a B.A. in Accounting and is a CPA. 

Liesbeth is married to her husband Will and they enjoy bike rides, walks with their corgi puppy, traveling to see their family abroad, reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with their family and friends.

Haley joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2023 and is a Senior Accountant. She is responsible for individual, partnership and corporate tax return preparation. In addition, she also plans and conducts audit, review and compilation engagements for local governments, nonprofit organizations and commercial entities.

Haley graduated from Northwestern College with Bachelors in Accounting and Biology Health Professions.

Haley and her husband have a daughter, 2 cats, and one dog. Her favorite sports teams are the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Chelsea joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2019 and is a Senior Accountant. She is responsible for individual, partnership and corporate tax return preparation. In addition, she also plans and conducts audit, review and compilation engagements for local governments, nonprofit organizations and commercial entities.

Chelsea graduated form the University of Northern Iowa with her B.A. degree in Accounting. She enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Jason joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2010 and is a Tax Manager in the Mason City office. He performs research on a complex tax-related topics and is responsible for preparation and review of individual, partnership and corporate income tax returns. Jason also plans and conducts audit, review and compilation engagements for nonprofit organizations and commercial entities, specializing in employee benefit plans.

Jason is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a B.A. degree in Accounting. He enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. Jason volunteers at the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank

Dennis joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 1996 and is the Partner in charge of overseeing the operations of our Mason City office. Dennis is also responsible for key client relationships, working with a variety of clients and industries. He is experienced in individual, partnership and corporate tax planning and preparation, audit services, business consulting, succession planning and wealth management services. Dennis plays a key role in firm expansion and growth efforts through business development and firm acquisitions.

Dennis graduated from Northwestern College with a B.A. degree in Accounting. Dennis is as a member of the Board of Directors of OneVision and Northwoods Savings Bank. He is also actively involved with Grace Church. Dennis and his wife, Susan, have three daughters – Corrine, Emily and Haley, and four grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Twins and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Laura joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2010 and is a Partner with the firm. Laura is responsible for key client relationships with a variety of clients and industries. Laura supervises the tax preparation and the review process of individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary and nonprofit tax returns. She also performs tax planning and research for complex tax-related projects and specializes in tax credits. 

Laura graduated from Grand View College with B.A. degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. She is married to her husband, Jeremy, and they have a two children. Laura is an Ambassador with the Mason City Chamber of Commerce and the Mason City Noon Lions Club.  Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family.

Shannon joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2010. Shannon reviews individual, partnership and corporate tax returns. Shannon also plans and conducts audit, review and compilation engagements for local governments, nonprofit organizations and commercial entities. Shannon is responsible for key client relationships, working with a variety of clients and industries. In addition, Shannon assists clients with QuickBooks consulting.

Shannon graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. degree in Accounting. She is married to Todd and they have a daughter, Mathea. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones, University of Northern Iowa Panthers and Chicago Cubs.

Marlene joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2015 after operating her own CPA firm in Forest City for many years. Marlene serves as a Senior Tax Manager for the Mason City office. She prepares and reviews complex tax returns and is also involved in tax and business planning/consulting.

Marlene attended Buena Vista University.. She has been married since 1978 and has two grown sons. She enjoys camping, boating and above all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Kristi joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2006 and is a Partner with the firm in the Mason City office. Kristi also oversees the audit practice for several of the firm’s offices. Kristi is responsible for key client relationships, working with a variety of clients and industries. She is experienced in individual, partnership and corporate tax planning and preparation and audit services.

Kristi graduated with B.A. degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Northwestern College and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from the University of South Dakota. She serves as the treasurer for both her church and local Kiwanis club. Kristi and her husband, Joe, enjoy spending time with their daughter, Lauren and son, Ben.

Linsey joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2015 and is Senior Accountant for the Mason City office. She is responsible for individual, partnership and corporate tax return preparation. In addition, she assists with payroll services, payroll tax reporting, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping services for a variety of clients.

Linsey is a graduate of Central College with a B.A. degree in Business Management, with an emphasis in Marketing. She also has her Master of Business Administration degree (Accounting concentration) from American Public University. In her free time, Linsey volunteers for Rotary International, Forest City Young Professionals and is on the Puckerbrush Days Committee.

Becky rejoined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2016 after previously working with the firm for 11 years. She is a Senior Accountant in the Mason City office. Her responsibilities include payroll services, payroll tax reporting, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping services for a variety of clients. She also helps provide our staff with computer support.

Devan joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2021 and is a Staff Accountant in our Mason City office. Devan's responsibilities include payroll services, payroll tax reporting, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping services for a variety of clients.

Devan graduated from Hamilton Business College with an  Associate degree in Accounting. She is also an active volunteer at Roosevelt Elementary as a PTO treasurer.

Devan is married with two daughters and one dog. In her free time she enjoys traveling, bike riding and spending time with her family. 

Jeff joined our Mason City office as a Tax Manager in 2024.  He attended the American Institute of Business and as a Licensed Public Accountant and an Enrolled Agent.  

Jeff enjoys volunteering at various church activities, spending time with his two children and three grandchildren, and cheering on the Minnesota Twins.

Laura joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2016 and serves as an Administrative Services Professional in the Mason City office. She supports our firm with many administrative functions and is responsible for providing excellent service to our clients.

Laura is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. degree in Journalism. She is married to her husband, Derek, and they have three children – Tyler, Katie and Hannah

Patti joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2010 and is the Administrative Services Manager in the Mason City office. In her role, Patti oversees all of the administrative functions for the Mason City office, assuring the operations run smoothly.

Patti is a graduate of Hamilton Business College. Patti is married and has two children, Amber and Dylan. During her free time, she enjoys volunteering for the Hawkeye Food Bank and cheers for the Central Spring Panthers and University of Northern Iowa Panthers.

Marjean joined our Mason City office in 2024.  She's a graduate of Buena Vista University.  Marjean is married and has three children.  She enjoys cheering her children on in their activities, and is a vounteer at their schools and church.

Jenni joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2022 and serves as an Administrative Services Professional in the Mason City office. She supports our firm with many administrative functions and is responsible for providing excellent service to our clients. Jenni graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in Psychology. 

She is Married to Jon, who teaches Math at Mason City High School, and Mom to Abbie (and son-in-law Alex), Tim, Emily and Will. They recently added two cats to the family, Scrabble and Anny.  When not working, Jenni enjoys family time around the table, trying new recipes, reading, games, long walks and road trips. As a Pacific Northwest native she is a lifelong fan of the Seahawks, though the rest of her family are Vikings and Packers fans!

Jenni gives back to her community by volunteering at Instrumental Music Boosters, Mason City High School and Greater Iowa Youth for Christ.

Farisa joined our Hogan - Hansen Mason City office in 2024.  She is responsible for payroll services, tax reporting, financial statements and bookkeeping.  Farisa attended NIACC and earned her degree in Science Business and Accounting.  

Outside the office, Farisa volunteers with Meals on Wheels, spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters, biking and traveling.

Kristen joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2019 and serves as a Senior Accountant in the Mason City office. Her responsibilities also include payroll services, payroll tax reporting, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping services for a variety of clients.

Kristen received an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Kaplan University. Kristen volunteers for St. Paul Lutheran Church Council and Jefferson Elementary School's PTO.  In her free time she also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. 

Quentin started working with Hogan-Hansen in 2020 as a staff accountant in our Mason City office. He works on a variety of tax return preparation. Quentin has his bachelors in Economics from Simpson College and Masters of Financial Management from Drake University. 

Outside of work Quentin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and their dog. He enjoys cheering for the San Francisco 49ers and watching Formula 1 Racing. 

Ghandy joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2022 and serves as a Staff Accountant in the Mason City, Iowa office. Her responsibilities primarily include providing payroll services and payroll tax reporting for a variety of clients.

Ghandy graduated from Western Iowa Community College with an A.A.S. in Accounting and served as an intern for Hogan-Hansen in the spring of 2022.

In her free time, Ghandy enjoys spending time with her 2 children; biking, camping, going to parks, and most recently fishing.

Jill joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in 2015 and serves as a Staff Accountant in the Mason City office. Her responsibilities include payroll services, payroll tax reporting, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping services for a variety of clients.

Jill graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an Associate's degree in Business Administration. She gives back to her community by volunteering with Meals on Wheels and Hawkeye Harvest. 

Jill enjoys spending time at home with her three children and English bulldog. Her free time is spent golfing, traveling and hanging out with friends.     

Carrie joined the Hogan Hansen team in 2019 as an Administrative Assistant, and has expanded her role to include HR and marketing.  She enjoys helping our clients as well as welcoming new employees to the firm.

Carrie received her A.A. degree from Iowa Central Community College and her B.A. in Interpersonal Communications with a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Northern Iowa.  She volunteers in many activities in her community and has been a youth group leader at her church for 10 years.

Carrie and her husband, Bill, spend their time supporting their three daughters in their various activities, traveling, and are involved in their church.
